Book Review: The Red Dragon

The Red Dragon by Thomas Harris opens up with characters Will Graham and Jack Crawford talking about the two similar murders of two seemingly dissimilar families. Though the cover of the book claims this to be the novel “that introduced Hannibal Lecter,” fans of Lecter may come out disappointed from his lack of meaningful appearances throughout the novel. In fact, Lecter’s role in the novel could be considered tertiary at best.

The New Year is fast approaching as well as a new decade. We are now entering our second chance at the “Roaring Twenties” and I couldn’t be more excited to start some New Year’s Resolutions of my own.

Over the past year I had noticed the amount that I read was exponentially less than in previous years. With work, school and life, reading feel into the background. I decided that it is time to regain my love of reading and what better time to make a change than at the start of the decade?
